One of the greatest classic remastered.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great mouse got even better with new sensor, great value. One thing left to ask for is bullet marks design like in classic I have used 11 years ago. If you have big hands like me you will love shape of this mouse.

A sleeper hit!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who tests a lot of new gaming mice I was curious to see what the MX518 Legendary was all about. It doesn’t take somebody long to notice that it doesn’t fit with the rest of them and has a old look to it. You’d be correct as it’s based off the old MX510 which released all the way back in 2004. This updated model features Logitechs Flagship Hero sensor so under the hood it’s vastly improved. The shape is what sets this mouse apart as it pioneered ergonomics and even to this day is still a shape I really enjoy and have no problem transitioning to when I’ve been using more slick and lighter mice. Main buttons require a medium amount of force to actuate and feel crispy and consistent, side buttons leave a lot to be desired, but get the job done for regular usage. Scroll wheel is very old-school and not as defined or quiet as newer encoders. It will feel different depending what direction you’re scrolling. Overall the build quality and QC on my unit is amazing. This is a mouse I’d highly recommend if you aren’t looking for something that has to look modern. If you enjoy the shape this will be a sleeper hit for you with a amazing sensor to boot and great value for everything you get!

I don’t use this for gaming though
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don’t use this for gaming but it’s been good for al the online schooling I’ve been doing assignments and whatnot sorry I can’t have a more useful review. I do agree on other people’s reviews that the scroll wheel seems a little cheap though.

A great classic is back with update Hero sensor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Logitech improved upon a great series of gaming mice with the G MX518. Same classic shape which works well for larger hands and my preferred mouse grip style. The new Hero sensor is extremely accurate and doesn't skip. Rubber mouse cord unlike some other G models mice. But works really well and I might not even do a paracord mod. Top of G MX518 is smooth without any texture with rubberized sides to the body. I prefer this over G500/G5 finish and also it's much lighter than those mice. Logitech G MX518 > G500 > G5 > MX518

Very Similar to the Original 518
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just got the new G MX518. It looks and feels good. A bit shiny as the original 518 looks flat in comparison that I have had for a long time and is still up and running. Its been my favorite mouse so I decided to get this one as backup. Can't say much about durability yet but time will tell. Logitech warranty has been excellent in the past but notice this one comes with a one year warranty compared to some older mice that had a three year warranty. Overall it seems very similar in feel to the original and although I have not weighed both on a scale for comparison, the weight feels very similar to the original so I am pleased with the purchase. If you have used the original 518 and liked it like I do, then you will like this mouse too. Cheers!

Great ergonomics and control - lackluster finish
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The legendary MX518. Comfortable, nice weight, great design. My only complaint is that the finish around the logo is already wearing off.

Not new.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ordered as 'new.' The package I received was probably a previously returned item. Box was torn, sealing sticker was peeled off. And it doesn't work without jiggling the cable. This is going to be returned.

Q: QuestionIs this the best mouse ever made?
Asked by ExpansionBolts.
- A:Answer Hello, as one of the most-beloved gaming mice ever, MX518 has inspired legions of fans around the world to ask Logitech G to bring it out of retirement. And we heard you. We pulled the original tools from the Vault and meticulously restored them—right down to the original glossy keyplate. It’s the classic, comfortable shape you know and love, now with modern components that perform to today’s advanced standards and a new, updated Nightfall color scheme.

Q: QuestionDoes it have side-scrolling?
Asked by parklinkivic.
- A:Answer Yes. There are two buttons on the left side with up/down arrow keys. On the browser they are used to go to previous/next page you visited. You could bind these to do other things - in my FPS game I use them for quick commands.
